specializes in revamping vintage
wedding dresses.
"Everyone I asked about
performing such a project said if
anyone can do it, Adina can," she
recalled.
"Adina and I spent hours together,
learning about one another and
understanding one another," she said.
"She really is an up-to-date
fashion designer, one who has a
genuine twinkle in her eye when she
creates.
Ruthie said that she and
Jerusalem actually started on the dress
around May and it only took her about
one month to complete the work.
"She added sleeves, some lace to
the older pieces that were there, a
separate train, and added a detachable
bow on the back of the gown," she
explained.
"Sewing has always been like
therapy for me',' said Jerusalem, seated
in her workroom that is always strewn
with fabrics, and numerous alterations
awaiting the touch of her skilled hand.

Czechoslovakia, and one of seven
children, began her trade at an early
age in Europe.
"When I was in the second grade
I always like to embroider," she
recalled.
"When I was 13 I was an
apprentice for a dressmaker in another
city in Europe?'
She says that she's been in the
sewing business for 41 years and never
grows tired, especially when it comes
to bridal gowns.
"It's a real joy for me to help a
bride who wants to walk down the
aisle wearing her mother's gown," said
Jerusalem.
"I also like to help the brides who
are short with funds:"
Ruthie said that Jerusalem
performed a "wonderful job, and she
was so easy and fun to work with."
While the dress was being taken
care of Ruthie said that the couple
began to look for invitations. They
eventually decided on embossed
creme-colored paper invitations
adorned with a handwritten
