She said she sent the invitations
out six weeks prior to the wedding and
suggests two months ahead to the
people who live out of town.
"I also think its a good idea to call
the out-of-towners and let them know
once you've set the date," she
suggested.
"That way they can mark it down
on their own calendar:"
"Other than the pictures, one of
the most important things you should
have is a video," she said.
"The pictures are lovely to have,
but it's the video that you can look
back on and relive all of the
memories.
"Once the big event arrives, it's
the couple's job to have everything
perfected to their standards," she said.
"Enjoying one another and
looking forward to the honeymoon is
the best part."
"I think the hardest part of the
entire affair, is trying to keep everyone
from both sides of the family in
harmony," she said.
Ruthie offers this important
advice, "A future bride should
remember to look around at her
wedding, notice everything and
everyone. "The day is gone before you
know it."

screaming, and it was so exciting."
"I was totally in shock, and
everybody started toasting us and got
out the video camera," she said.
The day after the announcement
she called Temple Israel, but they had
nothing availale. Her next call was to
Temple Beth El where she lucked out
with an August 20 date.
Next came the caterer, Mark of
Excellence in Southfield, followed by
a call to Silk & Morgan for flowers,
the Bill Myers band, invitations,
photographer and finally the dress.
"I wanted the theme of my
wedding to be very fairy-tale like," she
