Orthodox Minyan
Is Incorporated
The Ann Arbor Orthodox
Minyan, a centrist Orthodox
congregation, was recently
incorporated.
The AAOM is an outgrowth
of the original Orthodox mi-
nyan, formed 24 years ago by
a group of University of
Michigan faculty and
students. In 1967, the minyan
moved into the Hillel
building. The AAOM was
formed this year to comple-
ment Hillel in serving the
Jewish community of the
university, while maintaining
student autonomy over the
Hillel Orthodox minyan.
AAOM members also pro-
vide home hospitality for
Jewish travelers to Ann Ar-
bor who want to spend Shab-
bat with a local family.
