Alzheimer's Unit
Presents Awards
The Alzheimer's Associa-
tion, Detroit Area Chapter,
presented several awards at
its annual meeting and
awards program.
Among the recipients of
the Community Service
and Volunteer Service
Awards were: Jackie
Klein, Southfield Eccentric;
Renee Mahler, director
of communications/admis-
sions Peachwood Inn; Estelle
Miller, volunteer counselor;
and Mary Bieman, volunteer
day care worker.
The awards were presented
to those individuals who have
donated their time and
energies to promoting public
awareness and to assisting
those affected by Alzheimer's
Disease.
The next project of the
Alzheimer's Association is
the third annual Chocolate
Jubilee to be held Dec. 4 at
the Somerset Inn. Proceeds
will go to further education,
family service and research.
Group To Help
Kin Of Elderly
The Jewish Family Service
will begin a series of
informational-support groups
for relatives who are having
problems related to the care
of the elderly on Nov. 23 at 7
p.m. at Jewish Family Ser-
vice, 24123 Greenfield,
Southfield.

Blood Drive
Is Sunday
Temple Beth El's interfaith
blood drive will be held on
Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3
