Shlomo Sperka, director of
the Michigan Bureau of
Employment Relations, will
speak at lunchtime learning
session at The Jewish News
at noon Thursday.
Sperka will speak on "The
Structure and System of
Jewish Law.
Sperka attended Wayne
State University, the
Brooklyn Law School and the
Rabbinical Seminary of
America.
He is a member of the
Michigan and New York bar
associations and was former-
ly an attorney with the Na-
tional Labor Relations Board,
Seventh Region.
An administrative law
judge with the Michigan
Employment Relations Com-
mission, 1969-1983, Sperka
wrote and edited papers on
labor relations. He is an ad-
junct professor at the WSU
graduate program in labor
relations and at the WSU
Law School.

Trees For Trees
Drive At UHS
In response to the ter-
rorists' acts of arson and with
forest fires raging throughout
the State of Israel, the United
Hebrew Schools will plant a
United Hebrew Schools
Children's Grove to help
restore the ravaged forests.
In cooperation with the
Jewish National Fund, the
motto "Trees for Trees -
Forests for Forests" will be
taught and explained in all
classes and branches of the
UHS.
All UHS families who plant
trees will be included in the
honorary roster of forest
rescuers.
