LEO FRANK, an innocent Jew who was
convicted and lynched for the murder of a
young girl in Atlanta in 1913, was the subject of
an NBC four-hour mini-series. Peter Gallagher
(center) portrayed Frank in "The Murder Of
Mary Phagan."

MIEP GIES, the courageous Dutch woman who
risked her life to hide Anne Frank, was the
subject of a two-hour television drama on CBS
this spring. Mary Steenburgen (left) starred in
"The Attic," with Lisa Jacobs portraying Anne.

DAVID SCHOENBRUN, the veteran journalist
and speaker on behalf of Israel, died this year.
