Camp Fire Unit
At Beth Shalom

Congregation Beth Shalom
will have a Blue Bird and
Adventure group for girls in
grades two to five beginning
Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. in the
synagogue social hall. The
groups are part of Camp Fire,
Inc. Activities will include
crafts, community service,
games, trips, awards and
more.
At least one parent (Mom or
Dad) must accompany their
daughter(s) to the first
meeting. Non-members are
welcome.

Teen Connection
Has Kickoff

Then Connection, the new
Jewish youth group for grades
seven and eight sponsored by
B'nai B'rith Youth Organiza-
tion and the Jewish Com-
munity Center, will have a
kickoff dance Sept. 17 at 8:30
p.m. at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center, Maple/Drake
Building.
Open gym and use of the
pool are planned.
Refreshments will be served.
Admission is free to all Teen
Connection members. There
is a charge for non-members.

JETS To Have
Orientation

Jewish Teens in Service
(JETS), will have an orienta-
tion meeting Oct. 2, at 7:30
p.m. at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center (Maple/Drake
Building). JETS is a program
for individuals in grades
10-12 which combines a
volunteer work experience in
a Jewish communal service
agency with workshops
helpful toward one's leader-
ship and career development.
