BETTY KRINSKY, 85, died
Aug. 17. She leaves three
sons, Joseph, Sam and Dr.
Nathan; a daughter, Mrs.
Clarence (Bess) Goldberg; two
sisters, Mrs. Max (Bernice)
Rubenstein and Mrs. Sol
(Ann) Epstein of Los Angeles,
Calif.; 20 grandchildren and
19 great-grandchildren.

RUTH L. LELAND, 66, died
Aug. 18. She leaves her hus-
band, Dr. Sol; three
daughters, Mrs. Laurence
(Barbara) Schiff, Mrs.
Stephen (Nancy) Tower and
Mrs. Robert (Linda) Gagne of
Pasadena, Calif.; a brother,
Dr. Lawrence Stocker; and six
grandchildren.

BESSIE LEVEY, 78, died
Aug. 23. She leaves her hus-
band, Meyer; a son, Dr. Jules
of Bath, N.Y.; a daughter, Faye
Bennett; two brothers, Sam
Grund and Herman Grund of
Des Moines, Iowa; a sister,
Mrs. Carl (Sarah) Sokolof of
Des Moines; and three
grandchildren.

JOSEPH S. RADOM, 75,
died Aug. 20. He leaves his
wife, Mary Jane; a son,
Thomas; a daughter, Susanne
Stroh of Oxford, Mich.; a
brother, Harry; a sister, Mrs.
Bernard (Lillian) Grant; and
four grandchildren.

JOHN G. REHNER, 76, of
Marine City, Mich., died Aug.
16. Survived by his wife, Mar-
tha; two daughters, Mrs.

Sharon Peters of St. Gabriel,
Calif., and Mrs. Jim (Carol)
Beagle of Marine City; a
sister, Mrs. Paul (Evelyn )
Miller; and three
grandchildren.

ROBERT TORRES, 60,
died Aug. 19. He leaves his
wife, Irma; a daughter, Maria
Gilligan; two sisters and
three grandchildren.

Benjamin Nagel

Benjamin Nagel, former
grocery store owner, died Aug.
21 at age 84.
Born in Poland, Mr. Nagel
lived 65 years in Detroit. He
ran Nagel's Grocery with his
first wife, Ethel, on Elmhurst
for 35 years. Following the
death of his first wife, he
remarried and with his new
wife, Bessie, joined the Jewish
Community Center Choral
Group.
He is survived by two sons,
Dr. Samuel and Leonard; five
grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.

David Wachler

David Wachler, a jeweler for
more than 50 years, died Aug.
21 at age 87.
Born in Poland, Mr.
Wachler established his first
store at age 17 in Cologne,
West Germany. He sold his
share to his partners and
opened his own award-
winning family stores. He
came to Detroit in 1937. H e
founded David Wachler and
Sons Jewelers,
He leaves two sons, Norman
and Jeff; a sister, Rae Dressler
of California; nine grand-
children and 11
great-grandchildren.
