Winer Camp Program
On Communications

The Sidney J. Winer
Creative Communications
Program has been establish-
ed by family and friends in
honor of Winer's 80th
birthday.
Donations will allow the
purchase of state-of-the-art
video and audio-visual equip-
ment to benefit an expanded
audio-visual activity. Camp-
ers, under the direction of an
audio-visual specialist, will
learn the art of script
preparation, special effects,
dubbing, editing, and clayma-
tion. They will also learn how
to use and operate the
equipment.
Sixth and seventh grade
campers may spend six hours
in the Winer Creative Com-
munications Program over
the course of a week as one of
their three individual choice
activities. Eighth grade
campers may spend 10 hours

in a more advanced offering of
the program.
Winer joined the board of
directors of the Fresh Air
Society in 1962, and he serv-
ed as president from 1973 to
1975, remaining active till
the present time. In 1977 the
Melba and Sidney J. Winer
Dance Barn was built at
Camp .Maas through the sup-
port of Winer and his wife,
Melba.
