host Israeli soprano
Shoshana Shoshan for the an-
nual Frank Friedman Memo-
rial Concert at 8 p.m. Thurs-
day. The concert will be
preceded by an at exhibit at
7 p.m.
Shoshan, who will sing in
English, Hebrew and Yid-
dish, has appeared in concert
around the world. She first at-
tracted international atten-
tion when she made her
operatic debut as the leading
soprano of the Israel National
Opera in Tel Aviv.
Since coming to New York,
she has been a frequent guest
on television programs in the
United States and Canada.
The Frank Friedman
Memorial Concert is an an-
nual event sponsored by the
Friedman family. Admission
is free but reserved seating is
available to benefactors,
patrons, sponsors, and donors.

Bat Mitzvah
Twin Released
Viktoria Tsimberova of Len-
ingrad, the twin of the adult
bat mitzvah class of Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, was granted
an exit visa and has im-
migrated to the United States
with her husband and three
children. The family is
residing in Rochester, N.Y.
Viktoria will join the class
as they observe their b'not
mitzvah on Sunday.
