Dorothy and William
Niskar of Southfield recently
celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary.
They were married Jan. 2,
1938 at Cong. B'nai David.

Their children are Robert and
Arlene Niskar and Allan and
Regina Niskar. They have five
grandchildren, Howard,
Audrey, Joey, Jaime and
Rachel Niskar.

David Adamany, president
of Wayne State University, is
scheduled to appear as a
special guest speaker at a
cocktail party sponsored by
the B'nai B'rith Hillel Foun-
dations of Metropolitan
Detroit on Thursday.
President Adamany earned
his undergraduate degree at
Harvard University, and his
law degree at Harvard Law
School. He earned a master's
degree and doctorate in
political science at the
University of Wisconsin. He
is the author of many articles
on Constitutional law, cam-
paign finances and on judicial
process. In addition to his
duties as president of the
univeristy, he also teaches
constitutional law at Wayne
State University Law School.
He also is pi-ofessor of law and
of political acience at WSU.
He has taught and served
in academic administration
at several universities, in-
cluding California State,
Maryland, Wisconsin State
and Wesleyan. President
Adamany holds positions on
the board of many agencies,
including the Detroit In-
stitute of Arts, the Detroit
Symphony, New Detroit, the

Metropolitan Center for High
Technology and the Commit-
tee for a
Superconductor/Super-
collider.
President Adamany will be
introduced at the cocktail
party by Robert Naftaly, a
member of the board of gover-
nors of Wayne State
University.
The honoree will be
Herschel Fink, who will
receive the Hillel Founda-
tion's Man of the Year Award.
The cocktail party was
planned by a reception com-
mittee which includes Nor-
man Allan, Peter Alter, David
