Readers Theater
Spring Series
Will Conclude

The final performance of
the Spring Series of Readers
Theater will take place at 4
p.m. May 15 in the Deroy
Theater of the Jewish Com-
munity Center's
Maple/Drake Building. A
complimentary pre-theater
wine bar will begin at 3:15
p.m.
Tickets are availble at the
door beginning at 3:15 p.m. or
by calling Readers Theater,
967-4030. The program is
sponsored by the Institute for
Retired Professionals with
the help of the Irwin and
Sadie Cohn Fund.

Musician Plays
With Soviets

Ken Wolin of Oak Park is
one of 50 musicians from the
United States to join with 50
students from the Soviet
Union to form the American
Soviet Youth Orchestra.
The orchestra will leave in
July and tour the United
States and the Soviet Union
performing Tschaikovsky's
Romeo and Juliet, Aaron
Copeland's Appalachian
Spring as well as several
original compositions.
Wolin is a third-year percus-
sion performance major at the
Oberlin Conservatory of
Music.

Tribute Slated

"To Thee We Sing," dedi-
cated to the centennial of Ir-
ving Berlin, is the Oak Park
Civic Chorus's major concert
of the 1988 season.
The program, under the
direction of Charles Weiner,
will be presented 7:30 p.m.
May 15 in the Oak Park High
School Auditorium.
