Parents Institute will par-
ticipate in two special events
on Sunday.

Noah Ovshinsky, under the
direction of club leader Gerry
Warshawsky, and teen
assistants Marc Waldman
and Michael Jacobs, will
celebrate Yom Haatzmaut by
turning their club room into
an Israeli marketplace. At
11 a.m., other students of JPI
will be invited to sample
foods, participate in crafts
and take part in many other
activities related to Israel In-
dependence Day.
Club Five students Aaron

Davis, Mandy Gulla, Carrie
Lipsitz, Marcie and Ross
Meskin, Ben and Noah
Monro, and Michael Wein-
traub, under the direction of
club leader Ellen Craine and
teen assistant Jennifer Davis,
will recreate the immigration
experience by participating in
Ellis Island Day.

Temple Emanu-El will
honor its 12th grade
graduates at Shabbat ser-
vices at 7:30 p.m. today.
Graduating seniors are: Jon
Cooper, Brian Erdstein, Beth
Ferstenfeld, Shari Fine, Doug
Levy and Michelle Pearlman.
Temple Emanu-El Temple
Youth Group (TEMTY) will
conduct Shabbat services on
May 13 at 8:15 p.m. After ser-
vices, the youth group will
hold an all-night "shul-in" to
which the eighth grade of the
religious school is invited.
The last day of the school
year for grades kindergarten-
seven will be May 15. Judaic
Arts and Food Fair, tzedakah
program conclusion, awards
assembly and organized
games will all be part of the
morning.
On Shavuot, May 22 at
10:30 a.m., Temple Emanu-El
will have its confirmation ser-
vice. This year's confirmands
are: Adam Avrushin, Ben-
jamin Dillon, Nicole Fried-
man, Randy Horton, Howard
Jaffe, David Kayes, Debra
Stein and David Zalesin.
