Nathan Siegel
Nathan H. Siegel, longtime
secretary of Detroit Steel
Corp., died April 18 at age 74.
A resident of Northville, Mr.
Siegel received a Bachelor of
Science degree in business ad-
ministration from Ohio State
University and a Doctor of
Law degree from the
Cleveland-Marshall Law
School. He is a member of the
Ohio and Michigan bar
associations.
Mr. Siegel joined the
Detroit Steel Corp. in 1938.
He later was appointed assis-
tant secretary and assistant
treasurer. In 1956, he was
elected secretary of the cor-
poration and continued in
that post until August 1971.
He has been president of
the Detroit Chapter of the
American Society of In-
surance Management, chair-
man of the Committee on In-
surance Problems of the
American Iron and Steel In-
stitute, member of the
American Management
Association-Insurance Plann-
ing Council and member of
the Tax Executive Institute.
He recently was named in-
surance consultant for the
Northville Public Schools.
Mr. Siegel served as vice
president of the Detroit
Regional Group of the
American Society of Cor-
