FRIDAY APRIL 22, 1988
United Hebrew Schools will
present "Living Room, A
Space for Jewish Families to
Learn Together" Sundays
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at
United Hebrew Schools.
Set in an informal at-
mosphere, family members
will be challenged to respond
to issues based in Jewish text
and manifested in modern
society. Based on the Life and
Values Experience Program
(LAVE) developed by the Na-
tional Conference of
Synagogue Youth ( NCSY),
the program will incorporate
experiential and multi-media
techniques to develop and
clarify Jewish values for fami-
ly members.
The program is being coor-
dinated by Harlene W. Ap-
pelman, coordinator of Jewish
Experiences For Families,
and Rabbi Mark Cohn, direc-
tor of Central East Region of
NCSY. It's open to all families
with children from eighth to
12th grade. For information,
call Ofra Fisher, 354-1050;
Mrs. Appelman, 661-0600; or
Rabbi Mark Cohn, 967-5300.
