The spirit of Passover per-
vades the community-
supported agencies this
month that benefit from the
Allied Jewish Campaign.
Hundreds of United
Hebrew Schools students and
their parents will participate
in model seders, with an em-
phasis on drama, dance and
song.
Beth Achim UHS conducted
its model seder on March 24;
B'nai Israel, Troy and Novi
branches and the special
education class will hold
theirs on Sunday; B'nai
Moshe's seder is set for Mon-
day; and Adat Shalom has
seders scheduled for Sunday,
Tuesday and Wednesday.
At the Jewish Home for
Aged, a massive houseclean-
ing is under way at all three
facilities. At both Borman
Hall and Prentis Manor,
residents are encouraged to
join in the reading and songs
in the main dining room with
large-type Haggadas. For
those who are immobile,
traditional seders will be held
the first and second nights on
all three floors of Borman
Hall, and the west wing at
Prentis.
Fleischman Residence will
hold seders both nights of
Passover, with the first night
open to families of the
residents. An empty table
will be set aside for Soviet
Jews who cannot celebrate
the holiday. On Wednesday,
residents will take part in an
intergenerational program of
songs and storytelling with
students from the Jewish
Community Center's child
development class.
In preparation for the holi-
day, all Home for Aged staff
will participate in discussions
about Passover and its mean-
ing to residents.
Jewish Federation Apart-

ments is changing over its
kitchen for the holiday. At the
Prentis Towers in Oak Park,
residents and their families
will have a seder on April 1.
On Sunday, Prentis will host
students from the 'Ibmple
Beth El youth group at a
model seder.
In West Bloomfield,
Hechtman Apartments
residents will attend seders
on both nights conducted by
Cantor David Gutman.

the holidays. For . those in
financial need, JFS is
assisting Shirley Robbins of
the Moos Chitim (Passover
fund for the needy) by referr-
ing individuals requiring
matzot, wine and financial
aid for the holidays.
Among those being helped
are more than 500 individual
clients from JFS and Resettle-
ment Service, with the latter
focusing on immigrants to the
Detroit area. The distribution
will take place at Congrega-

In addition, JFS has receiv-

Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) to supply
more than 300 clients with
