hose looking for a
strictly kosher place
to spend Passover this
year will find a wide selection
in North America, the Carib-
bean, Europe and Israel.
There is even a Passover
cruise available.
On the East Coast, besides
the Catskills, one can spend
Passover in Atlantic City,
Pennslyvania's Amish coun-
try and Vermont. Atlantic
City's Tower Hotel will be
under rabbinical supervision
this Passover. There is a
heated indoor pool and
entertainment.
Pennsylvania's Brandywine
Hotel and Resort is located in
Downington, which is Amish
country, 30 miles from
Philadelphia. Facilities in-
clude a full health club, ten-
nis courts, raquetball, and
bowling.
Vermont's Lake Morey Inn
Resort, in Fairlee, is under
the rabbinical supervision of
National Kashruth. Another
glatt kosher Vermont location
is the Equinox, in Man-
chester. The latter hotel can
be booked through Amit
Women Travel
(212-477-4720), where part of
your travel dollar (at no extra
cost) will benefit the children
of Amit's schools in Israel.
Another Passover booking
which will benefit the
children in Israel, through
Amit, is at the Harbor Island
Spa in Long Branch, N.J. This
resort offers the strictest
dietary observance, serving
Cholov Yisroel exclusively,
and only shmura matzah.
Daily Torah learning ses-
sions, such as Daf Yomi, are
planned.
The hotel is on the ocean,
with separate spas for men
and women, and heated in-
door and outdoor pools. The
Passover package includes
one free massage per guest,
and free classes in aerobics,
water exercise, slimnastics
and yoga.
A Passover hotel very close
to New York City is the Rye
Town Hilton in Rye, N.Y. For-
ty minutes from Manhatan, it
is situated on 50 wooded
acres, with an indoor and out-
door pool, gym, whirlpool,
sauna and lighted tennis
courts. The luxury rooms
come with refrigerators.
The Radisson Resort in
Hilton Head, S.C. will observe
Passover this year. In Califor-
nia, the new Palm Springs
Resort Hotel will host a strict-

ly kosher Passover, with
limousine pick up from the
Los Angeles area and airport.
Geusts will be housed in
suites with terraces, two col-
or TVs and refrigerator.
Recreational facilities range
from golf and tennis to
horseback riding and hiking
trips.
The largest concentration of
Passover accomodations in
North America is found in
Miami Beach. Here there are
many kosher hotels which
have been newly renovated,
and also non-kosher hotels
which will provide strictly
kosher Passover facilities.
Among the renovated
kosher hotels, the Daniel

tractively redecorated all its
guest rooms in soft pastel col-

ors and offers a lovely dining
room and lobby. On the beach,
and with its proximity to the
Fontainebleau, it has become
a popular spot with visitors.

Other kosher hotels nearby
are the Shawnee, which is
sponsored by Young Israel,
and where Jo Amar will con-
duct the seders, and the new-
ly opened Castle. Resort and
Hotel (formerly the Konover).
Some of Miami's hotels will
feature famous entertainers
during Passover. The Sans
Souci will have Henny
Youngman on April 4, and
Jan Murray on April 5'.
Shlomo Carlebach will ap-
pear at the diLido Resort
Hotel.
Among the larger Miami
hotels providing Passover
facilities are the Sheraton Bal
Harbor, the Eden Roc and the
Fontainebleau Hilton. The
latter has recently spent
millions to bring guests every
amenity possible, from an ex-
clusive health spa to
numerous sports facilities
and 20 acres of beautifully
landscaped grounds.
Another option for Passover
is renting a suite at the Roney
Plaza in Miami Beach, and
having meals delivered to
your door by Isaac's Kosher
Kitchen. The Roney Plaza is
on the beach, and Isaac's is a
glatt kosher caterer who also
