Marks 25th Anniversary

parents with a brunch on
Sunday in the Adat Shalom
social hall at 10 a.m. A
special gift on behalf of the
board of directors will be
presented to each student.

'Orders Over $299,

The Sholem Aleichem In-
stitute will have its 25th an-
nual art show and sale March
11-13 at the Shenandoah
Country Club, 5600 Walnut
Lake Rd., West Bloomfield.
The show and sale is a
showplace for Michigan ar-
tists. This year many of the
artists who began 25 years
ago will return for a special
retrospective of their works.
Included are Neal, Carol
Wald, Sheila Burns, Sue and
Russell Bolt, Evelyn Raskin,
Irving Berg and Howard
Weingarden.
Many young artists' careers
were launched by having
their works exhibited first in
the Sholem Aleichem Art
Show and Sale. Among them
are: Richard Jerzy, painter;
Robert Brunn, enamelist;
John Glick, potter; Carol
Wald, painter; Brenda Good-
man, painter; Glen Michaels,
artist and assemblages;
Charles McGee, painter;
Bruce Blythe, jeweler; and
Robert Bartlett, glass.
A special "sip and shop"
will take place at 8 p.m.
March 11. Artists have
donated prizes to be awarded
March 12.

11 a.m.-10 p.m.; March 12,

Yehuda Bauer
To Speak Here

The Birmingham Temple
will present the leader of the
international movement of
Humanistic Jews, Yehuda
Bauer, as the guest speaker at
8:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the
temple.
He
will
discuss
"Humanistic Judaism as a
World Movement." Prof.
Bauer is the chairman at the
International Institute for
Secular Humanistic Judaism,
president of the International
Federation of Secular
Humanistic Jews and pro-
fessor of Holocaust studies at
the Hebrew University in
Israel. Humanistic Judaism
will be the theme of the
service.
An Oneg Shabbat in honor
of Bauer will follow the
service.
