sor a special Erev Shabbat
program honoring Helen
Singer, recent recipient of
state-wide honors com-
memorating the Ses-
quiscentennial, at 12:30 p.m.
today in Jaffe Hall.
She- will be included in a
book on 150 Michigan
women's life stories. She will
take a sabbatical from the
Center at the end of the year.
Cantor Max Shimansky will
entertain.
Archie Leslie will show the
movie, Lupo at 2 p.m. Sunday
in the JPM assembly hall.
Herman Chapin, Detroit
Symphony Orchestra docent,
will idscuss several musical
selections and various aspects
of the symphony at 1 p.m.
Tuesday in the assembly hall
of the JPM.
The second part of the
original movie, The Jazz
Singer, featuring Al Jolson,
will be shown at 2 p.m. Tues-
day in the assembly hall of

flict Studies at Wayne State
University. She will spealeon

The lecture will begin at
12:30 p.m. Thursday in Jaffe
Hall.
The movie, French Follies
will be shown at 2 p.m. Dec.
6 in the JPM assembly hall.

Talk For Seniors
The senior adult depart-
ment at the main Jewish
Community Center will pre-
sent "A Rabbi in Rio" when
Rabbi David Nelson of Cong.
Beth Shalom gives a slide
presentation. Providing an in-
side look at Jewish life in
Brazil, the amazon and
regions thereabouts.
Rabbi Nelson will speak on
Monday at the main Center,
in room 239 at 1 p.m. There
is no charge, and all are in-
