Health Day
For Seniors
The Heatherwood Apart-
ments in Southfield will host
Health Awareness Day on
Thursday at the apartments,
22800 Civic Center Dr.
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
free testing for blood pressure,
glaucoma and sight acuity
and skin cancer will be
available. Posture evaluation,
audiological information and
aids for daily living will com-
pliment the fitness profiles. A
Red Cross Blood Drive is also
being held.
New Seniors
Complex Opens
A new luxury apartment
complex, providing retire-
ment living with services for
the aging, is under construc-
tion at the intersection of
Berg Road and Civic Center
Drive in Southfield. It will
consist of 305 one- and two-
bedroom units.
The Trowbridge will offer a
variety of services, including
a daily hot dinner in the din-
ing room, weekly linen and
maid service, complete securi-
ty systems, concierge,
transportation and a full pro-
gram of activities.
