Of Protests
Rabbi Meyerowitz
Rabbi Allan Meyerowitz of
Cong. B'nai Moshe was ar-
rested and jailed on eight oc-
casions for defending the
cause of Soviet Jewry. He will
relate his experiences at 9
p.m. Saturday in the
synagogue's social hall.
At the conclusion of the
presentation, Russian-
Hebrew new year cards will
be available to be sent to
B'nai Moshe's adopted
refusenik family.
At 10:30 p.m. Cantor Louis
Klein and the men's choir will
lead Selichot services. The
public is invited to attend at

host a coffee hour and recep-
tion in the social hall. At 10

Before Selichot

couples club will screen
Woody Allen's film The Front
at 9 p.m. Saturday, at the
synagogue, preceding
Selichot service at midnight.
Admission is free, and
refreshments will be provided
by the couples club.
Temple Kol Ami
A pre-Rosh Hashanah
workshop and Selichot ser-
vice will be held Saturday at
Temple Kol Ami. Refresh-
ments will be served at 8:30
p.m., workshop groups will
meet at 9 p.m. and the ser-
vices will begin at 10 p.m.
