B'NAI MITZVAH

Two Twin Their
B'not Mitzvah

Amanda Gurwin, daughter
of Jill and Howard Gurwin,
and Karen Kline, daughter of
Elissa and Daniel Kline,
twinned the observance of
their b'not mitzvah with
Elizaveta Sudarov, daughter
of Alla and Aleksandr
Sudarov of Leningrad, USSR,
on Sept. 5 at Temple Israel.
Sudarov is a civic engineer
and his wife is also an
engineer. They first applied
for a visa in 1980 and were
refused for unknown reasons.
Amanda lives in Farm-
ington Hills and attends East
Middle School. Karen lives in
West Bloomfield and goes to
Orchard Lake Middle School.
Both girls have written to
Elizaveta, but have not
received any response.

Coryn Saltsman
Is Bat Mitzvah

Cong. B'nai Israel will
celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of
Coryn Saltsman, daughter of
Sanford Saltsman and Mrs.
Nancy Saltsman, on Satur-
day. Coryn will twin her bat
mitzvah with Vladislav
Kuznetsov of Russia.
Vladislav is the son of Igor
and Raisa. His father has
been in Israel since 1983. His

mother is a piano teacher.
Because Igor defected to
Israel in 1983, his wife and
son have been denied a visa.
The reason for refusal — "dif-
ficult international situa-
tion."

was one of the creators of the
indoor stadium being used for
