BBYO
BBYO Has
Kickoff Dance
The 1987 BBYO kickoff
dance will take place on Sept.
26 at Southfield-Lathrup
High School at 8:30 p.m. The
theme of this year's dance is
"BBYO Through the Ages,"
and it will be free of charge to
all nationally-registered
members of AZA and BBG.
Non-members will be charged
a nominal fee.
Each AZA, BBG and BBYO
chapter is asked to submit a
poster about this theme no
later than Thursday. Posters
are to be submitted to the
BBYO office and will be
displayed the night of the
dance.
Co-ordinators for the pro-
gram are Sarah Richelew of
Shoshanna BBG and Jeremy
Shere of Hart AZA. Staff coor-
dinator is Adele Lewin. The
dance is open to the entire
Jewish youth community in
grades nine through 12.
Simcha BBG announces
Carrie Bree Rice has been
elected president and Jille
Stern has been elected vice
president of the chapter. Sim-
cha BBG is the newest BBG
chapter in Michigan Region
and is currently in the midst
of its membership drive. The
group serves Farmington
Hills-West Bloomfield. lb join,

The first BBYO adviser
group meeting will be held on
Sunday at the BBYO office at
10 a.m. The meeting will
focus on adviser supervision
and the adviser role in carry-
ing out BBYO policy. Posi-
tions still remain for
volunteer positions as AZA
and BBG advisers in the
metropolitan Detroit area.

BBYO will sponsor an
outstate chapter leadership
weekend at the Charles and
Florence Milan BBYO Con-
ference Centre in Belle River,
Ont., Sept. 18-20. Leaders
from Herzl AZA and Yachad
BBG in Windsor and from
Wallenberg BBYO in Ann Ar-
bor will participate in varied
sessions involving leadership
training, program planning,
spirit and fraternalism.
