More than 24 Detroiters, in-
cluding 14 New Leadership
Division members, will at-
tend the 1987 State of Israel
Bonds North American
Leadership Conference next
week in Montreal.
Chaired by International
Campaign Chairman David
B. Hermelin of Detroit, the
conference will be held at the
Queen Elizabeth Hotel and
will include a campaign
report by Israel Bonds Presi-
dent Brig. Gen. (Res.)
Yehudah Halevy, Canadian
and Israeli speakers and cam-
paign achievement awards
presentations, including an
award for Metro Detroit,
which held the best campaign
among all major cities in the
U.S. during 1987.
Also scheduled are special
Israel Bond instruments
workshops and special ses-

sions and panels for the
Women's and the New
Leadership Divisions. Thurs
of Montreal's Jewish com-
munity's institutions and
sites, plus other general at-
tractions, including an ex-
hibition of Leonardo da Vin-
ci's works at the Montreal
Museum of Fine Art, will be
offered to the delegates.

The Jewish News will
have an early editorial
deadline for the issue of
Oct. 2. All local news, in-
cluding organizational,
clubs, weddings, engage-
ments, anniversaries, must
be in The Jewish News of-
fices no later than noon
Sept. 23. Late copy will be
used the following week if
it is still timely.
