ROSH HASHANAH GREETINGS
PICK...THE GREETING OF YOUR CHOICE
When you're between the
white lines . . . it's win, win,
win, and beat the next guy
and whatever you can do.
"But the great part about
these games is, the minute
you walk away from those
white lines, everybody's
Jewish — as soon as you get
off the playing field — and the
spirit is fantastic. I think the
kids welcome the opportuni-
ty to meet kids from all over,
in their own sport. Plus they
meet kids from all over our
own country.
"When you talk about
youngsters, it's a very
broadening thing . . . the
older guys see it like I do. It's
great. What a great mitzvah
to be able to do it." ❑

Havurah Program
New York — More than 200
Jews from all religious
backgrounds and educational
levels will gather at
Princeton University,
Princeton, New Jersey, from
August 10 to 16 for the an-
nual Havurah Summer In-
stitute, an innovative self-
motivated study gathering
now in its ninth year.
Sponsored by the National
Havurah Committee, the In-
stitute is a week of serious,
joyful study of Jewish texts
and topics and a week-long
experience in total Jewish liv-
ing for Jews of every
background and affiliation,
young and old, family and
singles.
The program includes
classes on Talmud and con-
temporary Jewish issues,
ritual and Jewish literature,
Jewish mysticism and Jewish
science fiction and much
more.
May the New Year Bring
To All Our Friends
and Family — Health,
Joy, Prosperity
and Everything
Good in Life.
Survey Probes
Intermarriage
New York (JTA) — A detail-
ed study of non-Jewish-born
spouses in mixed marriages
has confirmed that Jewish
men are much more likely to
marry non-Jewish women
than the reverse and that
women are more likely to con-
vert than men.
The study, sponsored by the
American Jewish Committee,
also found that most non-
Jewish-born partners found it
easy to integrate into the
Jewish community, though
few had been exposed to com-
munity "outreach" efforts.
But they felt that born Jews
lacked understanding for the
converts' particular situation.
May the coming year be
one filled with health,
happiness and
prosperity for all our
friends and family.
