recently at Deer Lake
Country Club. Rabbi Richard
Weiss of Temple Beth Jacob
in Pontiac officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Drury of
Royal Oak. Parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Lichtman of
Southfield.
Nancy Novak was the maid
of honor. Bridesmaids were
Prof. Baruch Bush will ad-
dress a gathering of judges
and attorneys July 12 at the
Southfield home of Jay and
Joanna Abramson.
The lecture is the fourth in
the 1987 series of the Irwin I.
Cohn Memorial Lectures in
Talmudic Law, which was
founded by the Lubavitch
Foundation of Michigan, in
response to the increasing at-
tention in the legal world to
the interface of ancient
Jewish (Talmudic) law and
modern secular
jurisprudence.
The committee of the lec-
tures series is: chairman,
Judge Avern Cohn; and
Judges Hilda R. Gage,
Charles Kaufman, Richard C.
Kaufman, Charles L. Levin,
Joseph J. Pernick, John H.
Shepherd, Michael L. Stacey
and Helene N. White.
The topic of the lecture is
"Perfect Justice vs. No Justice
At All: A Jewish Critique of
Contemporary Visions of the
Role of Law and Courts." Prof.
Bush, a graduate of Harvard
University and Stanford Law
School is currently an
associate professor of law at
Hofstra Law School, Hemp-
stead, N.Y. He has over ten
years' involvement in the
field of dispute resolution,
and has published several ar-
ticles on this subject.
The brunch-lecture will be
chaired by Judge Bryan H.
Levy of the 46th District
Court.

Summer Hours
Listed For HMC
The Holocaust Memorial
Center, 6602 W. Maple, has
announced summer hours for
July and August.
The HMC will be open to
the public on Sundays,
Tuesdays and Thursdays from
noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday's
hours are noon to 8 p.m. The
doors lock 30 minutes prior to
closing.
Public tours are held during
the summer on Sundays at 1
p.m. and on Wednesdays at
6:30 p.m. Group tours may be
scheduled at any time by call-
ing Pat Bircoll, tour coor-
dinator, 661-0840. Tours take
about 90 minutes, and a brief
meeting with a Holocaust
survivor who relates his or
her own experiences follows.
