"LET US BE YOUR TAILOR"

Goodman, who has been
in the restaurant business
for 21 years, named the
restaurant after his mother,
whose picture appears on
the menu.
On a recent afternoon
Rabbi E.B. Freedman and
Gary Torgow met for lunch
at Sara's. Rabbi Freedman
said he was thrilled that
there was a New York-style
deli in the area, and that it
put Detroit in league with
Toronto and Chicago as a
world class city.
"It is a wealth of good for
our community and for the
sake of kashrut that there is
such an establishment as
Sara's," he said. "It is nice
that people who couldn't
previously conduct business
over lunch can now do so
and it is nice to have a place
which has the same quality
and good service as, I
presume, does a non-kosher
restaurant. I have found
that many people not used
to a kosher dining ex-
perience are pleasantly sur-
prised to find such a quali-
ty glatt kosher retaurant,"
he said.
Gary Torgow shared Rab-
bi Freedman's enthusiam.
"Sara's has brought New
York kosher dining to
Detroit;' he said.
