Beth El Students
To Have Camp Days

The Confirmation Class of
1987 will go to Camp Maas
for its retreat April 10-12.
Special programs will include
a Yom Hashoah Friday eve-
ning service, followed by a
program "Rescue of the
Danish Jews," by storyteller
Corrine Stavish. Saturday's
events include a youth serv-
ice and a softball game with
the confirmation class play-
ing against Templp Beth El's
high school. Registration is
now open.
A sixth grade camp day
will take place beginning
12:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Camp Tamarack Adventure
Center. The day will include
a picnic lunch, arts 'n stuff,
the ropes course and sports
activities.

Teens Score High
in Math Meet

Three Southfield students
have placed in the top 25 in
the 30th annual Michigan
Mathematics Competition.
Approximately 23,000 stu-
dents participated. The top 50
received college scholarships.
The first-place winner was
Craig Freedman of Southfield
High School. The second-
place winner was Jacob Lorch
of Southfield-Lathrup High
School. The Bronze Award-
winner was Scott Chupack of
Southfield-Lathrup High
School.

Beth El Trip
To Visit Seniors

The fifth grade of Temple
Beth El Religious School will
participate in a tzedakah
project field trip to the
Hechtman Apartments in
West Bloomfield on April 12.
The students will visit the
senior citizens, bring them
Passover refreshments and
conduct a short model Seder.

charity event will take place,
beginning 7 p.m. today, at
