60th Anniversary
David and Anne Schuster
celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary March 20. Mar-
ried in Minneapolis, David
and Anne have lived in De-
troit since 1942. David ran a
chain of beauty shops and
beauty schools in Michigan
under the name of Mr. David.
Having retired 20 years
ago, David and Anne have
enjoyed community interests,
gardening, travelling and vis-
its with their grandchildren.
Sons Monis and Eugene live
in Detroit and Todd lives in
Hartford, Conn. They have
nine grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.

JNF Will Hear
Israeli Scientist
Yoel DeMalach, a re-
searcher in agriculture in the
Negev and winner of the
prestigious Israel Prize for
his studies of crop develop-
ment in arid areas, will be
the guest speaker at the
Jewish National Funds board
of directors meeting
scheduled for April 7 at noon
in the JNF offices.
DeMalach teaches at the
Ben-Gurion University of the
Negev and has written many
articles on arid land agricul-
ture which have been used by
the United Nations, the
United States, and many
other countries. He is also in
charge of the experimental
station at the Ramat
HaNegev Agriculture Sta-
tion, in Beersheva.
He is one of the original
members of Kibbutz Revivim,
which he joined at age 18.
