Family Missions
To Israel Planned
The Jewish Welfare Feder-
ation will co-sponsor three
national family missions to
Israel this summer.
The missions will take
place June 14-24, June 28-
July 8 (led by Detroiters
Peter and Ellen Alter) and
Aug. 9-19.
Those interested can attend
an information meeting, 7:30
p.m. Monday at the main
United Hebrew Schools build-
ing.
The 10-day itinerary will
include an informal group
Bar and Bat Mitzvah cere-
mony on Masada, a visit to a
military base and home hos-
pitality in Ramla, Detroit's
Project Renewal sister city.
Five-star hotels, guided
tours and most meals are in-
cluded. Costs are based on
the number of participating
family members. Trained Is-
raeli counselors will travel
with the group to lead and
supervise special youth pro-
gramming. Children must be
at lest 6 years old.
