Silverman Village
Registration Open

Tamarack Camps is accept-
ing applications for campers
at its Silverman Village
campsite, located at Camp
Maas near Ortonville.
Silverman Village is a
25-day residential camping
program designed for chil-
dren six to 12 years old with
mild to moderate behavior
problems.
Silverman village accepts
35 boys and girls to each of
its two 25 day sessions. The
staff is drawn from students
in special education or re-
lated fields.
The campers participate in
swimming, canoeing, sailing,
horseback riding, cook-outs,
nature appreciation, sports,
and camping trips. A learn-
ing center provides film
strips, movies, cooking activi-
ties and newspaper writing to
encourage the use of lan-
guage, reading, math and
problem-solving skills.
Parents or other pr-
ofessionals who are involved
with a child may refer that
child to Silverman Village.
Applications are now avail-
able. First session will begin
June 25; second session will
begin July 23.
For families unable to pay
the full camp fee, schol-
arships are provided by the
Fresh Air Society and United
Community Services. For in-
formation, contact the Fresh
Air Society, 661-CAMP.

Zionists To Host
Basketball Star

Tal Brody, who led Israel's
Maccabi Tel Aviv to win the
European Cup in basketball
in 1977, will be in Detroit
March 23 as guest of Detroit
Young Zionists, an affiliate of
the Zionist Organization of
America. A reception for
Brody will be held at 7:30
p.m. at the home of Jim and
Eleanor Hack, 21335 Po-
tomac, Southfield.
A University of Illinois
All-American, Brody played
on the All-Big Ten first team
and the 1965 USA ALl-Stars.
The same year, Brody was
the second draft-choice for
the Baltimore Bullets. In
1970, he was a member of the
U.S.A. team that went to the
world championship. He pa-
rticipated in the Maccabiah
games, playing both for Israel
and the U.S., leading each
team to a Gold Medal.
Now retired from basket-
ball, Brody heads an Israeli
insurance agency and devotes
his spare time in coaching
young basketball players
throughout Israel.

Eberhard Fechner's 5 hour documentary is an outstandingproduction which took five
years to make, just as long as the Majdanek trial itself. The Dusseldorf proceedings
dealt with five prison guards accused of being implicated in the mass murder of
250,000 people interned in Lubin-Majdanek, Poland.
There are the five accused , the 26 eyewitnesses, the judges, the state's attorney, the
defense lawyers.
"Der Prozess", with English sub-titles, will be presented in two parts.
