Cong. B'nai David and its sis-
terhood for more than 70 years,
died Feb. 28 at age 95.
Born in Russia, Mrs. Shapiro
lived in Detroit more than 70
years. She was a life member of
Pioneer Women/Naamat and
Jewish National Fund.
She leaves a son, Dr. Donald;
two daughters, Mrs. Morris
(Cecelia) Bildman and Mrs.
Paul (Florence) Borock; seven
grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.
Kurt Kulka
Kurt Kulka or Jerusalem,
owner of Arad Plastics in Arad,
Israel, died Feb. 22 at age 65.
A former Detroiter, Mr.
Kulka went to pre-state Israel
in 1945. Prior to founding his
plastics firm, Mr. Kulka was
principal developer of irriga-
tion products design in Kib-
butz Hatzor.
He is survived by his wife,
Shonnie; three children,
Naomi, Yonaton and Dorit;
and six grandchildren. Inter-
ment Israel.
