Rabbi Moshe Tendler

As the first lecture in its new
Jewish Ethics Series, the B'nai
B'rith Hillel Foundation at the
University of Michigan will
host a talk by Rabbi Moshe D.
Tendler on Sunday, at 3 p.m. in
the Hillel Auditorium, 1429
Hill, Ann Arbor. It is free and
open to the public.
Rabbi Tendler's topic will be
"The AIDS Epidemic — An
Ethical Perspective."
This event is being spon-
sored by the Phi Delta Epsilon
Medical Fraternity. A question
and answer period will follow
Rabbi Tendler's talk and re-
freshments will be served.
Rabbi Tendler is a professor
of Talmud at the Rabbi Isaac
Elchanan Theological Semi-
nary as well as chairman of the
biology department at Yeshiva
University. He also occupies a
chair in medical ethics at
Yeshiva University.
Rabbi Tendler is interna-
tionally regarded as one of the
foremost experts in the field of
Jewish medical ethics. He is an
Orthodox rabbi and was or-
dained at Yeshiva University's
affiliated- Rabbi Isaac Elcha-
nan Theological Seminary.
He received his PhD degree
in biology from Columbia Uni-
versity and has written exten-
sively on topics relating to
medical ethics, science and
religion.
Rabbi Tendler also serves as
the spiritual leader of the
Community Synagogue of
Monsey, N.Y.

Alzheimer's Group
Hosts Workshop

Alzheimer's Disease and Re-
lated Disorders Association
(ADRDA), Detroit Area Chap-
ter, will present a workshop,
"Accepting and Understand-
ing the Person With Al-
zheimer's," on March 12 at
Oakland Community College,
Royal Oak Campus.
Space is limited. Call
