Creators of fine jewelry for over 60 years

for a wedding
kJ gown? Keep these tips in
mind:
Don't wait until the last
minute to shop, hoping to
find the "perfect" wedding
gown quickly and easily.
You will only end up
unhappy and frustrated —
perhaps having to settle for
a gown that is the best
among what is available at
the moment, perhaps pay-
ing more than you
intended.
Figure that it will take at
least three months for the
store to order whatever
gown you select and get it
back from the manufac-
turer; then allow time for
fittings and any alterations.
Now that you have a
time frame in mind, visit
several bridal shops, trying
to define what type of
gown looks best on you and
is appropriate for the kind
of wedding you are having.
Undoubtedly, the bridal
shops' salesladies, with
their years of experience
helping brides, can be
helpful to you, too.
Once you've decided on
the style you want, ask to
see it in various price
ranges. Bridal gown
manufacturers copy each
other's styles; invariably,
the same style is made by
several manufacturers, in
prices to meet all budgets.
Understand, however, that
the low priced gown will
not be made of as lux-
urious a fabric as the high
priced gown, nor will it
have as many decorative
touches (lace, sequins,
beading, etc.).
According to one expert,
the median price of a bridal
gown nationally is $360.
Regardless of what you pay,
you should expect the
bridal shop to do altera-
tions for a fee and have on-
time delivery of your gown.
You should ask if a veil is
included in the price of the
gown. If not (or if you
prefer a headpiece other
than a veil), that will be an
additional expense for your
wedding wardrobe. ■

The choice of music for a
I Jewish wedding is an
area in wedding planning
involving questions of per-
sonal taste.
Music is high on the list
of decisions because of all
the different components of
the wedding, music is prob-
ably the most constant and
unavoidable.
Choosing a band or
musical performer is the
first decision to be made.
Musicians have their own
