Youth To Begin
Photon League
The National Conference of
Synagogue Youth (NCSY), the
youth arm of the Union of Or-
thodox Jewish Congregations
of America, has begun the very
first inter-state Photon League
for Jewish teenagers. Photon is
a futuristic, participatory
game which uses laser lights
and music.
The NCSY Photon League is
open to any Jewish teenager in
the eighth through 12th
grades. Participants will be di-
vided into teams of ten each
plus a coach. League games
and practices will take place
Mondays at 5:30 p.m. starting
Feb. 16. League participants
will receive a "Photon
Passport", a NCSY Photon
League jersey, and special in-
dividualized coaching included
in the price of the league.
At present, the league has
three branches: in Cleveland,
Cincinnati, and Detroit. Plans
also are under way to expand
the league to include Chicago,
Baltimore, New Jersey and Los
Angeles. For information
about the NCSY Photon
League, contact Rachelle
Stebbins at the NCSY regional
office, 967-3300.
