B'NAI MITZVAH

LIMIT ONE COUPON PER CUSTOMER

Jonathan Ariel Rosenbaum
will be called to the Torah in
honor of his bar mitzvah on
Saturday at Cong. B'nai
Moshe. Jonathan will symbol-
ically share this occasion
with Ilya Nezlin of Moscow.
Ilya is the son of Roald and
Irina Nezlin. Nezlin is a
biochemist, and Mrs. Nezlin
works as an engineer. Ilya
also has a 22-year-old brother
named Alexander. The Nezlin
family first applied for exit
visas in November 1979.
They have had repeated re-
fusals since October 1982. Al-
though most of the Nezlins
reside in the Soviet Union,
Ilya does have relatives liv-
ing in Rehovot, Israel.
Jonathan has written many
times to Ilya, and has even
sent him an invitation to his
bar mitzvah service and cele-
bration. He has not yet re-
ceived a reply.
An eighth grader at Hillel
Day School, Jonathan is the
son of Mrs. Ronna Edelstein
Rosenbaum and Rabbi Stan-
ley M. Rosenbaum_

Jennifer Anchill
Twins Ceremony

Jennifer Beth Anchill,
daughter of Rhona and Allan
Anchill celebrated her bat
mitzvah on Nov. 29 at Tem-
ple Emanu-El.
Jennifer twinned her bat
mitzvah with Alla Aizenberg,
daughter of Rita and Boris
Aizenberg of Ukrainian,
USSR. The Aizenbergs were
denied their visas each time
they 'applied to leave the
USSR. Alla's parents were
engineers but lost their jobs
when the Russian govern-
ment refused to grant them
emigration.
Jennifer is a seventh grade
student at the Birney Middle
School in Southfield. She is
the granddaughter of Esther
Pantzer and the late Mr. Irv-
ing Pantzer, and Evelyn An-
chill and the late Mr. Charles
Anchill.

Bar Mitzvah Twins
With Ex-Refusenik

Jason Zaks will twin his
bar mitzvah with Oleg
Feldman at 9 a.m. Saturday
at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Jason, son of Susan and Jef-
frey Zaks, will also express
his gratitude that the
Feldman family, formerly of
Kishinev, USSR, was allowed
to make aliyah.
