Sarah Alspector

Sarah Anne Alspector,
daughter of Stan and Jean
Alspector of Livonia, will
celebrate her bat mitzvah at
9 a.m. Saturday at Adat
Shalom synagogue. Mara
Schoenberg will join Sarah on
the bimah to twin her bat
mitzvah as well that morn-
ing.
Sarah is a student at Adat
Shalom United Hebrew
School and attends Riley
Middle School in Livonia,
where she is enrolled in the
advance placement cur-
riculum.
She and Mara will twin
their b'not mitzvah with Inga
Shavlov of Grozny, Soviet
Union. Sarah and Mara have
written to Inga several times
but never received a reply.
Inga's parents are Anatoly
and Rachel Shavlov. They
have been applying for exit
visas since February, 1974
but have been repeatedly re-
fused.
Joining Sarah and her fam-
ily will be her family from
California and Toronto.
Sarah's grandparents are
Hilda Alspector, the late Max
Alspector and Sam and Pearl
Papo.

B'not Mitzvah Twin
Their Ceremony

Rachel Lena Grey, daugh-
ter of Ruth and Jim Grey,
and Dana Nicole Miller,
daughter of Arlene and Fred
Miller, will share their b'not
mitzvah at 11 a.m. Saturday
at Temple Israel with Julia
Chudnovsky of Kharkov, Uk-
rainian, Russia.
Rachel and Dana have
been writing to their Russian
"twin" for several months,
but have not received a reply.
They are sharing their b'not
mitzvah with Julia because
she has been denied the
privilege of having one in
Russia.
Julia's parents are Evgeny,
a physicist, and Marina, an
English teacher. They first
applied for a visa in 1979 and
have repeatedly been refused.
They also have relatives in
