To Hold Auction
Temple Beth El will host
its eighth annual auction at
7:15 p.m. Dec. 13. The event
is sponsored by the temple
and its auxiliaries. Proceeds
from the auction will provide
funds for services for the el-
derly and the handicapped, as
well as educational angi cul-
tural programs for children.
An "Instant Fun" auction
and a silent auction will pre-
cede the live auction main
event, which will be con-
ducted by professional au-
ctioneer Frank Boos.
The evening will be capped
off by a dessert buffet.
The event is open to the
entire community. Price of
admission includes refresh-
ments. Tickets may be pur-
chased at the door. Ruth
Talmer and Michael Leib are
co-chairmen. Call the Temple

Woman General
To Visit Detroit
Gen. Amira Dotan, the first
woman general in the Israel
Defense Forces, will be the
guest of honor at a meeting
and reception hosted by De-
troit Young Zionists at 7:30
p.m. Sunday, in the home of
Marcy and Gerald Lederer,
3263 Woodview, West Bloom-
field.
Gen. Dotan is chief of the
IDF's Women's Corps and
member of. the Prime Minis-
ter's Commission on Women's
Issues. During the Yom Kip-
pur war, Gen. Dotan was re-
sponsible for the evacuation
of women soldiers from com-
bat areas. As commander of
the women's corps, she serves
as consultant to the chief of
staff and is responsible for
the supervision and guidance
of the women officer's staff.

A light brunch will be
served and a short program
featuring Headmaster Rabbi
Robert Abramson and alum-
nus Stuart Cykiert will high-
light the school's early days.
