Milton Biliack pf Chicago; a
sister, Ruthe Leaderman of
Chicago; and six
grandchildren. Interment
Chicago.
NORMAN BAILEY, 77, of
Southfield died Oct. 9. Sur-
vived by his wife, Ida; two
daughters, Mrs. Donald
(Eleanor) Reimer and Mrs.
Mark (Dr. Susan) Vigen of
Shreveport, La.; a brother,
Max Bailey of Montreal,
Que.; and five grandchildren.
MINNIE BLAKE, 82, died
Oct. 12. Survived by her hus-
band, Norman; two sons,
Marvin and Maurice of Wood-
land Hills, Calif.; two daugh-
ters, Florence Pais and Ei-
leen Racklin of Los Angeles,
Calif.; a brother, Rev. Abram
Rabinovitz; a sister, Mrs. Sol
(Chaya) Gross; 16
grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
FANNIE COHEN, 90, of
Farmington Hills, died Oct.
14. Survived by two sons,
Herbert Carson and Sol; a
daughter, Mrs. Irving (Shir-
ley) Keller; a brother, Irving
Ellstein; a sister, Mrs. Wal-
lace (Eva) Fein; seven
grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
DORA GOLDBERG, 102,
died Oct. 12. She leaves
nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Harvey (Helen) Shapiro.

of Oak Park, died Oct. 11.
Survived by a son, Leonard;
and one granddaughter.

died Oct. 10. He leaves a sis-
ter, Mrs. Belle Shapero;

66, died Oct. 14. He leaves
two sons, Richard and
Gerald; two sisters, Mrs.
George (Mae) Tymn and Mrs.
Lee (Shirley) Rosenberg of
Studio City, Calif.

Goldie Cohen
Goldie Cohen, a life-long
member of the Sholem
Aleichem Institute, died Oct.
12. She was 102.
Mrs. Cohen was a native of
Russia. She came to the U.S.
in 1905, and to Detroit in
1911. Shortly after her arri-
val in Detroit she worked in
a sweat shop and was fired
for union organizing activi-
ties. Mrs. Cohen was a
trained mid-wife and risked
her life helping others during
the nationwide flu epidemic
in 1917.
In 1929, she began a dress
shop business on Fenkell and
later moved her business to
Jefferson Avenue.
Mrs. Cohen leaves two
daughters, Mrs. Rose
Lieberman and Mrs. Mollie
Cooper; a sister, Esther
Glass; ten grandchildren, 11
great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.

and Intervale Steel Co., both
in Detroit, died Oct. 11 at age
68.
Born in Detroit, Mr. Sol-
omon was a resident of North
Miami Beach, Fla., and De-
troit. He retired four years
ago. He was a member of
Knoliwood Country Club, the
Westview Country Club in
Miami and Cong. Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses.
Mr.
Solomon
was
graduated from Northern
High School, where he played
on the football team. He also
was graduated from Wayne
State University.
He leaves his wife, An-
nette; and a son, Barry of
Birmingham. Interment De-
troit.
