Rabbi Addresses Seniors

The senior adult department
of the Jewish Community Cen-
ter will present Rabbi Joseph
Gutmann at 12:45 p.m. today
in Jaffe Hall of the Jimmy Pre-
ntis Morris Branch of the
Jewish Center.
Rabbi Gutmann will speak
on "The Culture, History and
Art of Sephardic Jewry." At
1:30 p.m., Shirley Behar will
entertain with Sephardic
melodies in Jaffe Hall.
At 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Jaffe
Hall, there will be a games af-
ternoon: Prizes will be
awarded and refreshments
served. There is a nominal
charge. Everyone is invited.
Flu shots will be available to
senior adults through OLHSA
from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday
in room 12 of the JPM Branch.
There is a nominal fee.
The senior adult library pro-
gram will take place at 11 a.m.
Tuesday in room 4 of the JPM
Branch. Frances Weinberg
will review Hanna and Walter:
A Love Story by Hanna and
Walter Kohner. At 12:30 p.m.

in the library, Charles Driker
will read Yiddish short stories.
At 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rabbi
Joseph Lang, a scribe, will ex-
plain the intracacies of Torah,
mezuzzah and tefilin writing
and repairing on Tuesday in
the JPM assembly hall.
Part II of the film, Moon Over
Las Vegas, will be shown by
Archie Leslie in the assembly
hall at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Senior adults will take a trip
to see Funny Girl at the main
Jewish Center on Thursday.
There is a fee for tickets and
transportation. For informa-

Rabbi Gutmann will con-
tinue his lecture series on
Sephardic Jewry at 12:45 p.m.
Sept. 26 in Jaffe Hall of the
JPM Branch.

The Erev Shabbos program
on Sept. 26 will feature Phyllis
Bratt, accompanied by Celia
Dzodin. The program will take
place at 1:30 p.m. in Jaffe Hall
of the JPM Branch.
