Albert Rood, a mason con-
tractor for 40 years, died
Sept. 8 at age 74.
Born in Holyoke, Mass.,
Mr. Rood lived 69 years in
Detroit. He was involved in
road construction until his
retirement in May 1986. He
was a member of the
Bricklayer's Union Local No.
2. Mr. Rood's hobby was
working in stained glass.
He was a member of the
120 Club of Jewish Parents
Institute.
He is survived by his wife,
Dorothy; a son, Lawrence H.;
a daughter, Judith Green of
Bellingham, Wash.; four sis-
ters, Mrs. Morris (Eve) Novik
of Hillsboro Beach, Fla., Mrs.
Israel (Dorothy) Abramson,
Mrs. Eugene (Betty) White of
