Born in Holyoke, Mass., Mr. Rood lived 69 years in Detroit. He was involved in road construction until his retirement in May 1986. He was a member of the Bricklayer's Union Local No. 2. Mr. Rood's hobby was working in stained glass. He was a member of the 120 Club of Jewish Parents Institute.
