Ermenegildo. Beefy,
knubby-weave fabrics in donegal
tweeds are perfect for this big
look. At Hersh's you'll find a
mohair coat with poor-boy styling
in solids of royal blue, yellow and
teal.
Kosins features a tremendous
amount of peacoats this fall in
charcoal, black, bone and navy
wools. "We have prepared
ourselves for a very big overcoat
year. We've bought tons of
double-breasted topcoats with
raglan sleeves and bal stand-up
collars in tweeds and heather
tweeds," adds Kosins.
Baby lamb, leather bomber
jackets with shearling collars
featuring built-up shoulders and
asymmetrical closures, are
flattering for any man and can be
found at L'Uomo Vogue.
While Rovner says we'll see
plenty of wool cloth coats in
waistlength and 3 /4 length
styles this fall.

FORMAL WEAR

"The latest and the greatest
tuxedo this fall is the Espace by
Pierre Cardin," says Douglas
Shaw, Manager of President
Tuxedo in Farmington Hills. It
features a heavily-padded
shoulder and low drop lapel with
side-vents. The Etole, also by
Cardin, is ventless and comes in
an attractive dark-grey tweed
with double-pleated trousers.
Dynasty's newest design is the
Dexter, in deep charcoal grey
with black satin knotched lapel.
A two-button Ralph Lauren
tuxedo is available at The Polo
Store, complete with black-tie
pumps.
"White shirts with vertical and
horizonital hand-pleatings are
still the most elegant," says
Drucker. "I also get many
requests for shirts using four
studs instead of the usual three."
The wing-tip collar is by far the
most popular according to Shaw,
and this year the formal outfit is
being accented with bright bursts
of royal blue, raspberry, and teal
in the tie and cummerbund.
