Concert Planned

The B'nai B'rith Hillel
Foundation at the University
of Michigan will present the
2nsemble for Early Jewish
Music at 8:45 p.m. Sept. 13 at
; the University of Michigan
Museum of Art.
The group performs Jewish
music of the Medieval
through late Renaissance
periods.
The ensemble will perform
a Sephardic/Ladino concert
sung in Hebrew,•Spanish and
other Sephardic dialects. The
instruments used for this per-
formance have been collected
during the group's travels
throughout Eastern Europe,
the Mediterranean and the
Middle
East.

Tickets are available at the
Hillel Foundation, Beth
Emeth and Beth Israel, all in
Ann Arbor. Tickets must be
purchased prior to the per-
formance, since no tickets
will be sold at the door. For
more information, call the
Hillel Foundation, 663-3336.
The concert is sponsored by
Hillel, U-M Program in
>=. Judaic Studies, Temple Beth
Emeth, Cong. Beth Israel and
the Jewish Cultural Society.

comedy competition at the

cartoons in Los Angeles.
Before leaving Detroit, he
appeared on Dick Purtan's
WCZY-FM show doing im-
