Dr. Donald L. Golden,
president of D.O.C. Optics
Corp. will receive Tel Aviv
University's Friendship
Award at a tribute dinner to
be held in his honor Sept. 21
at the Helmsley Palace Hotel
in New York.
Along with 14 other found-
ers, Dr. Golden will be recog-
nized "for his participation
and support in the establish-
ment of TAU's School of Op-
tometry," the first in Israel
and the Middle East.
Dr. Golden is a pioneer in
the development and fitting
of contact lenses, first using
them in the 1940s.
