Congressman Tom Daschle of South Dakota, second from
right, stressed the importance of being "interested and in-
volved" in local, state and national issues. A firm supporter of
foreign aid to Israel, Daschle is running for the U.S. Senate.

Federation and the United Jewish Appeal Young Leadership
