Silverfarb 50th
In honor of their 50th wedding
anniversary, Dora and Louis Sil-
verfarb have established a grove
of 1,000 Trees to be planted in Is-
rael under the auspices of Hadas-
sah and through the Jewish Na-
tional Fund.
The Silverfarbs' children are
Daniel Silverfarb and Myrna and
Joseph Salzman. They have two
grandchildren Jill and Nancy,
both attending Michigan State
University.
The senior Silverfarb is a cer-
tified public accountant and is a
member of the American Insti-
tute of Certified Accounts as well
/ - as a member of the Michigan
Association of Certified Public
Accountants.
The Silverfarbs are ardent
supporters of Israel and have
made numerous trips there. They
are directors of the Michigan
Region of Magen David Adorn,
• and together with his associates
have contributed two ambulances
to Israel. They were the 1985
honorees of the Michigan Region
of Magen David Adorn receiving
the Humanitarian Award.
The Silverfarbs hold member-
ship in Adat Shalom Synagogue,
• are active in many Jewish organ-
izations, both are life members of
Hadassah and have recently be-
come founders of Hadassah; life
membership in the Zionist
Organization of America, suppor-
ters of ORT, Jewish National
Fund, B'nai B'rith, Bar-Ilan Uni-
versity and Technion in Israel.
