Howard of Waco, Tex., and Marc
of Glencoe, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs.
Leonard (Anne) Zeman and Mrs.
Abe (Betty) Mullen, both of
Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother, Saul
Horovitz of California; and three
grandchildren.
IDA FALIK, 67, died May 29.
She leaves her husband, David;
a son, Joseph; a sister, Mrs.
Mollie Olsman; and two grand-
sons.
SARAH FLIGMAN, 52, died
May 30. She leaves a daughter,
Mrs. William (Cynthia) Fischel;
a son, Scott Stromer; her
mother, Sarah Farnum; a
brother, Edward Farnum of
Traverse City; and four grand-
children.
MORTON FRIEDMAN, 64,
former Chicago resident of
Northridge, Calif., died May 29.
Survived by his wife, Barbara;
three sons, Kenneth, Buddy and
Gary; and a sister, Lillian Zum-
berg of Southfield.
RUTH GAVORIN, 73, died
June 2. She leaves her husband,
Max; a daughter, Mrs. Rodney
(Lois) Fagan; two sisters, Mrs.
Maurice (Florence) Cascade and
Mrs. Ann Taylor; one grandson
and one great-grandson.
LILLIAN GILBERT, 81, died
May 30. She leaves her hus-
band, David M.; a son, Gerald; a
daughter, Mrs. Joe (Marilyn)
Freedman; three sisters, Mrs.
Sadie Kahrnoff, Mrs. Ida
Weiseman and Mrs. Julius (Es-
telle) Thompson of Delray Be-
ach, Fla.; and three grand-
children.
JESSIE GOLDBERG, 79, of
Southfield, died May 30. Sur-
vived by a son, Lawrence Har-
vey of Oxford; two daughters,
Millicent and Adrienne; a
brother, Hyman Michalson; two
sisters, Mrs. Loretta Strager and
Mrs. Rose Balshin of Ocala,
Fla.; and one grandson.
MARY HOFF, 55, died May 31.
She leaves her husband, Carl;
three sons, Robert Feig of Fow-
lerville, Mich., Michael Feig of
Williamston, Mich., David J.
Hoff; three daughters, Anita
Okley of Webberville, Mich.,
Maxine J. Kaufman and Julie
Deborah Hoff-Windhorst; two
brothers, Samuel Mellin and
John Mellin of Battle Creek; a
sister, Shirley LaBell of Dune-
din, Fla.; and seven grand-
children.
STEVEN JOEL MARKEL, 20,
of Southfield, died May 30. Sur-
vived by his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Irving (Marilyn) Markel;
and a sister, Sheryl.
ROSE MASCARI, 78, died
May 27. She leaves three
brothers, Jacob Brickner, Harold
Brickner and Arthur Brickner;
and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Beck.
EVELYN J. PARKER, 68,
died June 3. She leaves two sis-
ters, Mrs. Bertram (Lillian)
Brostoff and Mrs. Sidney (Phyl-
lis) Schulman of Long Beach,
Calif.; a niece and nephews.
PEARL ROSENTHAL, 67,
died May 29. She leaves her
husband, Gerald; two daughters,
Diane of Lauderhill, Fla., and
Mrs. Steve (Ilene) Helfant of
Miami, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mil-
ton (Anne) Aptekar; and two
grandsons.
BYRON J. ROSS, 83, former
Detroiter of Venice, Fla., died
June 2. He leaves a son, Manly
of Ferndale; and a sister, Mrs.
Sol (Selma) Lifsitz of Southfield.

FANNIE J. ROVIN, 77, died
June 2. She leaves a son, Dr.
Sheldon of Wynnewood, Pa.; two
daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Be-
nita) Greenspan and • Mrs.
Raymond (Rebecca) Coleman of
Potomac, Md.; a brother, Morton
Gooze of North Miami Beach,
Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
CHARLES BORIS SALTER,
60, died June 3. He leaves his
wife, Beverly; two daughters,
Nancy and Susan; a son, Harvey
of Los Angeles, Calif.; his
mother, Mrs. Herman (Mary)
Salter; a brother, Harold.
ANN G. WAGNER, 71, former
Detroiter of Lauderdale Lakes,
Fla., died May 31. Survived by
her husband, Max; a son, Har-
vey of Saratoga, Calif.; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Jack (Sandra) Nisen-
baum of Plantation, Fla.; a
brother, David G. Levine of
Southfield; a sister, Mrs.
William (Beatrice) Zietz of
Tamarac, Fla.; and five grand-
children. Interment Florida.

Celia Cohen, office manager
for Drs. Weisberg and Feld for
24 years, died June 3 at age 70.
Born in Detroit, Mrs. Cohen
retired 19 years ago. She was a
member of L'Etudes Des Artes
and the Brandeis University
National Women's Committee.
She leaves her husband, Abe;
a daugther, Mrs. Thomas (Rena)
Himes; a sister, Betty Katz;
three grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Rudolf Sonneborn
New York — Rudolf Son-
neborn, a leader in the Ameri-
can Zionist movement. and fund
raiser on behalf of the State of
Israel, died June 1 at age 87.
Ddring World War II, Mr.
Sonneborn led drives to assist
Jewish refugees in Europe. He
became a leading figure in the
United Jewish Appeal, Israel
Bonds and the Zionist Organiza-
tion of America.
