Thoryn were married recently at
Adat Shalom Synagogue. Rabbi
David Nelson of Cortg. Beth
Shalom and Cantor Larry Vie-
der of Adat Shalom officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Isreal Kroll of Oak
Park. Parents of the bridegroom
are Mrs. Marjorie Thoryn of
Huntington Woods and the late
Mr. Burnett Thoryn.
Betty Burke of Newark, Del.,
was the maid of honor. Brides-
maid was Ilene Jabborri of
Kalamazoo.
Larry Singer of Ann Arbor
was the best man. Ushers were
Harry and Gary Kroll, Brian
Giles and Michael Thoryn of
Wheaton, Md.
Other attendants included
grandmothers Bertha Kroll and
Florence Wolfson.
Following a honeymoon in To-
ronto, the couple is residing in
Oak Park.

tivist, will address the Detroit
reception for Torah Schools for
Israel on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
in the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Marvin Berlin, 18251 Onyx,
Southfield.
This year Chinuch Atzmai-
Torah network opened four new
schools, 18 new kindergartens,
39 new classes and added 2,582
children to the total enrollment.
There are an additional 32•
communities asking for schools
to be opened.
