Cantor Louis Klein

A Lag b'Omer cantors concert
marking the start of Cong. B'nai
Moshe's 75th anniversary year is
planned for 8 p.m. May 27 at the
synagogue.

The program features B'nai
Moshe's Cantor Louis Klein,
guest Cantor Irving Grossman of
Temple Beth Am in Margate,
Fla., and 12-year-old violinist
Gabriel Bolkosky, who is a
member of the Detroit Symphony
Concert Orchestra.
Born in Romania, Cantor Klein
has been at B'nai Moshe for 27
years. He instituted the annual
cantorial concerts in 1961, coin-
ciding with the Golden Anniver-
sary of the synagogue. A member
of the Cantor's Assembly of
America, he has held the office of
treasurer. He served as chairman
of the Tri-State Region Cantors'
Assembly, and is a member of its
national executive committee. He
served as past president of the
Detroit Cantors' Council.
The May 27 concert, sponsored
by donors and patrons, is free and
open to the public.
